Lowell Revolution to represent Mass.
Revs earn place in the Region I qualifier
The image “http://www.mssleague.net/mssl/images2004/Optimized/Logo.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.The Lowell Revolution took a step toward qualifying for the 2007 U.S. Open Cup with a 1-0 win over Deportivo De Markos in the Massachusetts Open Cup final. The win propels the Revs into the Region I tournament where the top two teams will advance to the Open Cup. The bracket for the Region I tournament will be finalized at US Soccer’s AGM, the weekend of February 23.

The Revolution, who
play their home games at the University of Massachusetts stadium in Lowell, MA, are the undefeated champions of Division 2 of the Massachusetts State Soccer League (MSSL). The club captured the league title in their first year with the MSSL with a team consisting mostly of Brazilian players. This past season they dominated Massachusetts’ most competitive league, finishing unbeaten (18-0-1) while scoring 85 goals and only allowing three. In the Massachusetts Open Cup semifinals, Lowell defeated Division 1 champion Hellas United 3-1 in overtime.
